Responsibilities: Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care for residents. Ensuring all medical records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a doctor or according to the home's policies. Providing emotional support to residents and their families. Managing a patients healthcare plan according to the Physicians instructionsChecking temperature, blood pressure, pulse and other vital signsAdministering and maintaining a record of all prescribed medicationChecking for infection, bedsores and wounds in the patientEducating and advising Caregivers in the householdDressing or redressing wounds and assessing the progress of healingDeveloping and improving the healthcare plan in collaboration with other healthcare personnel in the householdProviding palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortableMake recommendations for devices ot tools that might improve the patients quality of life
