Mid North Coast LHD is inviting applications for multiple Emergency Specialist positions within the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network, comprising Port Macquarie, Kempsey, and Wauchope Hospitals. We offer the opportunity to join a growing department and be part of a team dedicated to the provision of emergency care in the regional/rural environment. 
What you'll be doing

Provide specialist clinical services for optimal patient outcomes within the Emergency/Critical Care setting including education and training of medical and nursing staff and the junior medical officers within the Emergency/Critical Care Departments.
 

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases

If you are applying for a Category A position, under the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2022_030 , evidence of current immunity status that complies with the policy must be supplied. 


Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Physician and Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an Emergency/Critical Care Department at the role delineation of the service.
  • Demonstrated clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
