Attitude and Skills we are looking for:

  • Experience providing occupational therapy services for children.
  • Or experience interacting with children of a range of ages and abilities and a strong desire to develop Occupational Therapy skills working with children.
  • Incorporating neuro diversity affirming; strengths based and family centred models of care into your practice.
  • Effective provision of assessment and intervention to improve independence, function, and capacity of children or adolescents to support them to participate in roles and activities that are meaningful to them and their family.
  • Building capacity of caregivers of children through coaching and modelling
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all ages and cross culturally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Committed to developing strong professional skills to support you to work efficiently
  • Being an encouraging and kind team member and contributing to a positive workplace culture.


Role Requirements  

  • APHRA registration
  • Current drivers’ licence and car 
  • NDIS Worker Screening  
  • National Police Check 
  • First Aid and CPR certification 

The opportunity:

  • Provide evidence based assessment and therapy to a paediatric caseload - direct support to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities;
  • Day to day in the role will include assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload;
  • Interventions are one-on-one with focus on evidence based practice;
  • Services can be provided in our fantastic clinic space, client homes, schools and via telehealth - administer assessments, providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff;
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes.


What do you need to join?

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
  • Passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful for families!
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Effective time management and attention to detail;
  • Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
  • Compliance – AHPRA Registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
