Job Description

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Medicine or MBBS from an accredited institution – Essential

Board certification In Community medicine/Preventive medicine and public health- Essential

Work Experience:

Minimum of (six) months of practical experience, For Board Certified

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Public Health Services

A minimum of 30% of the time is spent in providing community-based services for National Guard population:   

  • Assess and monitor population health status, identify and prioritize community health needs.   
  • Communicate effectively with the public to take control of their health with appropriate knowledge, skills and positive behaviors.   
  • Create structured plans and programs upon the health needs priorities.  
  • implement the appropriate Public Health strategies at community level to achieve predetermined health goals. 
  • Continuous monitoring for the process and outcomes of the programs to define areas of improvement.  
  • Evaluation of the implemented public health programs.   
  • Document the effect of Public Health programs to promote evidence based practice and to guide future programs and interventions.

Direct-Patient Preventive Medicine Services

A minimum of 50% of the time is spent in direct patient care in Preventive Medicine and Public Health clinics (5 clinics per week):   

  • Lifestyle Medicine Clinic   
  • Smoking Cessation Clinic   
  • Pre-marital Clinic   
  • School Health Clinic   
  • Periodic Medical Checkup Clinic   
  • Military Health Clinic

Academic. Quality & Research activities 

A minimum of 20% of the time is spent in academic and education activities.

  • Participate in and attend medical and educational activities including both undergraduate and postgraduate.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative health research.
  • Participate In audits and other quality activities related to Primary Health Care services.

Skills

English Language Level - I - Essential

Arabic Language Preferred

Computer Skills Level - II - Essential
