Alberta Health Services – North Zone, and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, are currently looking for a Radiologist to join their current team of Specialist physicians and establish a full-time practice in the community of Grande Prairie.
Radiology services include ultrasound, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, MRI, diagnostic mammography/tomosynthesis, general radiography, and basic interventional services (CT, US and Mammography guided procedures).
Preference will be given to candidates with Body Imaging Fellowship training, and/or at least one year of formal Nuclear Medicine training.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist to join the group of "eight" radiologists servicing the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH) opened December 4, 2021 and includes new imaging equipment such as new MRI, and two new 128 slice CT scanners. The new hospital also includes radiation therapy services, further increasing the capacity to provide services to the people of Northwestern Alberta and Northeastern BC.
GPRH is a regional hospital with a busy emergency department, ICU, Level II NICU and specialty services in OB/GYN, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, urology, palliative care, pediatrics, psychiatry and Cancer Care. The Grande Prairie Cancer Centre is one of four Regional Cancer Centres within Cancer Care Alberta’s Community Oncology portfolio.
