Soubliere Constructors is a fast-growing construction company that specializes in delivering complex commercial and residential drywall projects. We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team.

As our Health and Safety Officer, you will have the responsibility of fostering a culture of safety and well-being among our team members. Your role will involve building strong relationships and creating a supportive environment where everyone prioritizes safety and collaborates effectively to maintain it. You will be tasked with organizing and coordinating processes to ensure that our health and safety protocols are implemented effectively, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• 1-3+ years of experience in a health and safety-related role.
• Strong commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certification or training in occupational health and safety is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on safety matters, including training programs.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project-specific safety plans.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns.
• Maintain safety documentation and records as required.
• Implement COR Certification.
