We make it easy for people to self-manage their sexual and reproductive health online by providing free STI test kits, contraception, STI treatments, information and advice - 24 hours a day. The Role
SH:24 is seeking a dynamic and experienced sexual health nurse manager to work in collaboration with the clinical director to provide leadership for the clinical team, line management for the senior nursing staff and to play an integral part in the development and growth of the service. The role also involves delivering sexual health care and advice within our digital health service.
You will be a registered nurse with a strong leadership and experience managing teams and service delivery. As the clinical lead you will play a pivotal role in overseeing high quality clinical delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and serving as the primary point of contact as clinical representative from other teams within the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services through our digital platform
  • Contribute to updating, developing and implementing clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to optimise patient outcomes and safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, technology, and customer support to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Lead and mentor clinical staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare delivery and data privacy
  • Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical operations, implementing strategies for improvement as needed
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding clinical matters, fostering strong relationships and communication channels
This role requires flexible working and some out of hours work may also be required. Although the role can be done remotely, at least monthly attendance at the London office will be required.
The successful candidate will be part of a progressive, highly innovative team, benefiting from mentoring from senior clinical NHS consultants.
Requirements
Clinical experience and qualifications in sexual health
You'll be an experienced sexual health nurse with an in-depth knowledge of sexual and reproductive health care and at least 5 years of working at a senior level in this field.
You will have the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Care. Ideally, you will be a FSRH registered trainer and/or a STIF competency trainer and be an appropriately qualified non-medical prescriber and/or be an advanced clinical practitioner. You will have experience of teaching and assessment of clinical skills.
Experience In Management Of Sexual Health Services
You'll have at least 4 years' experience of managing a sexual health service and will be skilled in leading multi-disciplinary teams. You will have experience of, managing clinical quality and clinical governance and of managing adverse incident and complaints.
Experience Of Innovation And Change Management
You will have experience of leading change and a proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the development of an evolving service.
Personal qualities
You'll be trustworthy, discreet, and highly conscious of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of personal information.
Digital Health Experience
You'll be IT literate and willing to learn how to use new systems, with an acute awareness of security issues and willing to comply with security requirements. Ideally, you will have previous experience of digital or remote sexual health care delivery.
Finally, and most importantly, you will love to learn, share knowledge and help others. The team at SH:24 is great because we provide the support to each other for everyone to perform well.

Interview Process
The SH:24 interview process will be as follows:
The interview with members of our clinical team will last 1.5 hours. It will include an interview, discussion of common managerial and clinical scenarios and may include a presentation.
An informal meeting with members of the clinical team with an opportunity for you to learn about the team and for them to meet you in an informal environment.
