Montefiore has an outstanding opportunity for a driven, engaged, and adaptable Deputy Care Manager to join the team on a fixed term full time, 12-month maternity in our memory support unit at our Hunters Hill campus. 

The Role:

Reporting to the Executive Care Manager, overarchingly, you will oversee the delivery of quality care services to our consumers and ensure that the unit always maintains regulatory compliance. You will work collaboratively with our Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurses and Assistant Nurses in upholding clinical excellence by promoting and driving a culture of continuous learning and development.

In this varied role, some of your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) advising on clinical issues, driving AN-ACC, promoting best practice, assisting with admissions, medication management, documentation, managing staff and assisting the Executive Care Manager with rostering.

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards and understanding of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in AN-ACC
  • Extensive experience supporting consumers living with dementia
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills
  • Experience with rostering
  • Experience in palliative care will be highly regarded
