Clinical Trials Coordinator

The Role

The purpose of Clinical Trials Coordinator is to work with the team to coordinate all aspect of investigator-initiated trials. The Clinical Trials Coordinator is integral in delivering a clinical trials service to our patients and investigative stakeholders. Ensuring research is conducted in accordance with the protocol policy, legislation, ethical requirements and guidelines for Good Clinical Practice to achieve high quality data for research.

Key activities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Principal Investigator (PI) to prepare and submit clinical trial documents including, but not limited to, study protocol and informed consent, for HREC and Governance review.
  • Prepare study materials including, but not limited to, the informed consent (PICF), case report forms (CRFs), and Source documents.
  • Establishes, organises and maintains study documents, including but not limited to, regulatory binders, study specific source documentation, trackers and other materials in adherence with study protocols.
  • Develop study specific database such as REDCap.
  • Screen subjects for eligibility using protocol specific inclusion and exclusion criteria and coordinate participant screening tests and procedures.
  • Conduct study assessments and collect data as required by the protocol in line with relevant standard operating procedures and policies.Assure timely completion of eCRF and response to queries.
  • Assist the PI in submission of accurate annual reports and timely close-out documents to HREC and applicable governing bodies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications in Science or Health Care related degree
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Great time management
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in research teams
  • Ability to search medical records

Clinical trials experience is not-essential, only a desire to practice in this clinical field. Comprehensive on the job trainingwill be provided.
