QC Lab Data Specialist

Job Description
The QC Lab Data Specialist position will perform a critical role by following standardized procedures, safety guidelines, and instructions to perform data workflow tasks in our Quality Control Lab.
The QC Lab Data Specialist organizes samples submitted by our Manufacturing and R&D Teams for testing, orders additional testing as needed, enters analyzer result data into spreadsheets and other data systems, and communicates the status of samples moving through the QC workflow.
A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail desired. May perform a variety of supporting tasks.
A limited degree of creativity, adaptability, flexibility, and cooperation is required.
Key Responsibilities
Data entry of QC results into necessary systems.
Follows all safety guidelines presented by the department and safety officer.
Work with team from QC, Manufacturing, and R&D to ensure effective communication of results.
Focus on customer service and teamwork among LGC QC, LabOps and R&D team members.
Work with QC to plan daily testing and ensure samples are moving through workflows in a timely fashion.
Able to evaluate processes and workflow for inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
Excellent attention to detail is essential to succeed in this role.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting and working at a computer monitor.
Repetitive motion using a keyboard for long periods of time.
May occasionally be required to lift and move material weighing up to 10 lbs.
