About us:

Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.

About the role:

A Nurse Grade 4 is an Enrolled Nurse with Advanced Skill (ENAS) who supports a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife in the provision of person-centred care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards and codes, education preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Functions in accordance with the law, policies and procedures affecting Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) practice.
  • Practices nursing in a way that ensures the rights, confidentiality, dignity, and respect of people are upheld.
  • Collaborates with the Registered Nurse (RN), the person receiving care and the health care team when delivering care plans.
  • Provides skilled and timely care to people whilst promoting their independence and involvement in decision-making.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $79,113 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $39.25 - $41.65 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
