The role  
Reporting to the Manager Performance Reporting & Analytics, your role supports the preparation of high-level analysis for various audiences, including Parliamentary reporting, Director-General, and HHS Chief-Executives. Utilizing your analytical skills, you will work with clinical and financial information systems to conduct complex analyses, enabling benchmarking and contributing to the development of strategies for enhancing healthcare in Queensland. 

Your responsibilities extend to analysing performance data, generating reports and presentations, and actively participating in the development and implementation of solutions to continuously improve performance reporting. Additionally, maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working collaboratively within the Branch are integral aspects of your role.

The successful person
To excel in this position, you should possess advanced written communication skills, showcasing expertise in creating reports, briefing notes, and correspondence, including handling Questions on Notice. Your track record should reveal proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting, encompassing routine performance reports and presentations, with a demonstrated ability to manipulate, present, and communicate complex financial and clinical data sets, ideally within a healthcare setting.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in positively contributing to a small, fast paced team, working within tight deadlines whilst also prioritizing high-quality data integrity and sound information management processes. You will have proven interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced experience in MS Excel is a prerequisite, while familiarity with other applications like Qlik Sense and Power BI would be advantageous.
