Job description:
The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified FACEM applicants for multiple vacancies of Staff Specialist – Emergency Medicine at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH collaborates with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role
The RHH is the tertiary referral hospital for Tasmania, and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania School of Medicine. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region and state.
The Emergency Department has direct access to all medical and surgical specialities and has approximately 75,000 presentations per year. The Department has in excess of 250 staff, consisting of medical, nursing, allied health, clerical, aides, and orderlies.
The Emergency Department is staffed by specialists, registrars, nurses and clinical support staff who work together as a dynamic team with strong focus on collegiality

Salary
Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $210,000 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $288,000 with further salary increments available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Fixed term full-time and part-time positions available. day work (with on-call) work pattern, working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
