Location:

The role :
As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be working alongside three other consultants and registrars, which means that on-call duty is relatively light. In addition, there is an option to work in private practice, which provides an opportunity to boost your earning potential.

The Facility:
This facility serves as the primary provider of specialized healthcare services in the Gippsland region, which is located to the east of Melbourne. They offer a wide range of services, including emergency and intensive care, elective surgery, allied health, obstetrics, medical and radiation oncology at the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre, dialysis, and aged care.
Recently, the facility underwent an expansion and now boasts several exceptional amenities. These include a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, a spacious Emergency Department, endoscopy suites, and modern inpatient units. Additionally, there are extensive Allied Health amenities, including a gym and pool, that complement these services.

To be eligible, you must possess the FANZCA certification. However, at a minimum, your training should have been evaluated by ANZCA and deemed substantially comparable. This applies to individuals who hold NZ FANZCA and IMGs who have either received an ANZCA interview date or an outcome from ANZCA.
