About the Opportunity
If you are passionate about primary health care and love a challenge we’d love to here from you. In our Health Centre at Acacia Prison you will work in a close knit and supportive team including; the Nurse Unit Manager, Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurses and Chronic and Complex Care.
What you’ll be doing
Provide a comprehensive and accurate health assessment for patients
Create care plans and evaluate patient’s progress towards expected outcomes
Knowledge of the principles of prevention and harm minimisation
Provide clinical supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Medication Assistants
About you - your ideal skills & experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
ALS1 Certificate in the last 12 months (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
3 years clinical experience in a Primary health or acute setting (desirable)
