About us:

The Pharmacy Department at the Rockhampton Hospital manages all medications across the hospital, including the preparation and supply of all inpatient medication on the wards, and prescription and dispensary services for patients visiting the hospital.

We provide medication management services to inpatients, outpatients and day admitted patients at facilities located across the hospital and health service.

About the role:

The Pharmacist functions as part of a team and is responsible for the provision of a broad range of contemporary clinical Pharmacy services to the facilities within the Rockhampton Hospital campus and other facilities throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), as well as participation in a broad range of Quality Use of Medicines initiatives.

About you:

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in pharmacy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).
  • Demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise and skill in pharmacy practice ranging from base level to advance, depending on years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to routine pharmacy services.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of the team with an ability to promote and adapt to change.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
