Permanent full-time opportunity available as a ForensicLiaison Officer, within the Forensic Mental Health Service, located inTownsville. 

This is a multi-disciplinary positions - applications arebeing sought from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists or SocialWorkers.

This position aims to developthe capacity of the Mental Health Service (MHS) to confidently work withforensic or higher risk consumers, using strategies such as co-case management,coordinating and facilitating professional development opportunities, facilitatingaccess to the specialist forensic service and supporting and mentoring casemanagers who are caring for forensic and high risk adolescent and adult complexconsumers.

Generousremuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a. (NG7) or$152,775 p.a. (HP4) comprising:

· Salary range of $5081.10 to$5516.60 p.f. (NG7) or $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP4)

· Annual leave with relevantleave loading

Requirements:

· Proof of qualification(Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work) and registration or membership(if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.

· Thisis a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role : Hepatitis A/B, Measles,Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.

· Possession of class Cdrivers' licence.

· Travel: Please note, fromtime-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, otherfacilities located within the Townsville and North West Hospital and HealthServices to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance,training and education, or clinical activities. This may involve dayand/or overnight stays. Travel on small planes or ferry may be required.The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.

· Probation period may apply.

· All employees of the MentalHealth Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service.
