We have two vacancies for an Assistant Garment Technologists to join a leading Retailer. The roles cover:

1) Multi-product woven Menswear

2) Accessories - Bags, Scarves and Jewellery

The roles…

• Developing the range; focusing on front-end product development, blocks & fit, driving technical innovation and product improvements whilst promoting collaborative and close working relationships with the Product team.
• Approving and progressing the range; delivering good quality standards, providing clear and concise written and verbal communication internally and externally; whilst managing supply base to meet expectations.
• Managing in season; reviewing product quality throughout season, auditing and utilising information to further improve quality

About you…

• Using your extensive technical experience & exceptional eye for technical detail, you will be working independently on a high-profile department with support and direction from your technologist
• Utilising your qualifications & experience within the garment industry you will communicate effectively within a multi-functional team.
• The successful Menswear applicant will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of pattern, construction, and manufacturing methods . You’ll show drive and initiative to generate and implement new ideas on your department and across the Menswear division.

• The successful Accessories applicant will be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of accessories manufacturing and construction methods, testing and, performance standards. (We will consider experience from other product types not specific to accessories but a knowledge of hard goods is preferred)
• Technical knowledge across fabrics (woven and knitted), leather, PU, metals and, plastics would be beneficial but experience in any of these areas will be considered as the role will cover multiple different product types.
