The role 
The position will also provide process links with Shared Service Providers for human resource management, financial management and procurement and Districts for non SSP services.  Coordinates and supervises the work of administration officers as required to meet the administrative support requirements of the unit.

Employment Term

  • Fixed Term Temporary full-time, up to 30/06/2024
    (with a possibility of an extension - not exceeding 12 months)

  • Salary rates between $3380.20 - $3724.00 p.f. (AO4)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading

Role requirements

  • Whilst there are nil mandatory requirements for this role, previous experience managing an administration team would be highly desirable.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: 

  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills including office management, staff supervision and teamwork as well as the ability to delegate work, solve day to day challenges, meet deadlines and establish priorities.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication, both written and verbal, negotiation and interpersonal skills in the management and support of a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to exercise leadership towards the planning, implementation and evaluation of administrative policies and procedures that promote high quality service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
  • High level of skills and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite, competent typing skills and the ability to support other team members to use these systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
