Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Contaminated Sites Program Manager, the Records and Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for the accuracy of records and ensuring the government delivers on mandatory disclosure of information requirements by ensuring consistency and transparency of records and accuracy of data.
The Specialist strives to ensure the section is meeting the expectations of the public related to accessibility of contaminant management information by ensuring appropriate records management, transparency of information, identification and tracking of contaminated sites.
As a Records and Data Integrity Specialist you will:
  • Provides document and data control services to CSR - Conducts data maintenance ensuring data integrity across platforms to ensure contaminant release information, location, and person responsible are accurately identified and documented.
  • Support the digital regulatory assurance system - Contributes to digital regulatory assurance systems development, maintenance and enhancements to ensure requirements of the section are enabled in the system for efficient and effective provision of regulatory oversight
  • Training and communications - Recommends procedural improvement and creates training materials and delivers training to staff in the section on records and information management, and updated technology and processes ensuring consistency and ease of use across the section.
The position also communicates requirements of records or data to external and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective decision-making can occur in the Department related to contaminates sites information. The position supports establishment and maintenance of data management systems.

Qualifications
Required:
  • University graduation in Arts, Science, Business or Public Administration
  • 2 years progressively responsible experience with the focus on data integrity or document and data control
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of
1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Assets:
  • Working with provincial registration and records management practices and/or experience working with admission/discharge/transfer systems
  • Working with data management tools
