Due to the growth of our thriving small animal, first opinion RCVS General Practice accredited practice we are looking for motivated, an animal care assistant to join our enthusiastic team which operates a high standard of nursing care situated in beautiful North Somerset.

We have excellent facilities and benefit from being next to the referral hospital, ensuring excellent access for our clients. The First opinion and referral services collaborate as a team for complete patient support, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

Duties will include supporting the nursing team, making sure all in-patients have their basic husbandry needs attended to care, cleaning up after procedures, sterilising equipment for operations, laundry, assisting in dispensary, laboratory work, you can expect to be handling patients for basic procedures and general duties that aid with the running of the practice.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hour week with up to 1 in 3 weekends (currently 1 in 5 Saturdays).

As an RCVS registered training practice and a University of Bristol teaching practice we work to support and develop student vets and nurses.
