CSSD Technician

The Mount Private Hospital is currently seeking a professional and customer-focused CSSD Instrument Technician / Endoscopy Technician to join their busy team on a casual basis, which can lead to a part-time/full-time contract.

This role is responsible for high-quality cleaning, washing, packing, wrapping, and sterilising of reusable instruments/equipment/consumables to apply to the AS5369 2023 / GENCA standards used in the operating theatre and clinical areas to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.

About You

You will be an experienced Technician with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric focus. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.

To be successful in this role, you will:

· Have a completed Certificate 3 in Sterilisation or related discipline

· Have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the role

· Knowledge of theAS5369 2023 / GENCA standards is essential

· Knowledge of equipment relative to the clinical area, including, infection control, washing, sterilising, troubleshooting, wrapping/packing, pre-use testing

· Knowledge of IT systems including, MS Office, Riskman, webPas, MaQStracking system and e-learning (desirable)

· Following the Work, Health and Safety processesfor patients, staff, specific departments, and reporting hazards
