Research Coordinator

Position Summary

Lumiio is recruiting a Research Coordinator to support our project team, and lead, execute, and implement our platforms and solutions. While you will be working remotely, you will be working with teams mostly in Alberta and British Columbia. The Research Coordinator will be joining the Lumiio team during a pivotal time in the company as we begin to scale our operations and expand our customer base. The Research Coordinator will develop the organization’s future success by researching, designing and implementing essential systems to support business activities and client projects.

The Research Coordinator reports to the Manager, Projects. The Research Coordinator is a front-line position that works closely with a team of clinical investigators, patient organization partners, ethical and legal advisors, and communications experts on developing, deploying, and managing projects. This role is highly independent and involves exercising sound judgment for day-to-day operational decisions and providing advice and recommendations on overall operational considerations.

The primary purpose of this role is to build and develop international research projects under the guidance of the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Product Officer.

Position Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and manage RWD/E programs that include patient registries, clinical and administrative data, and wearables

Enable international communication and support efforts that promote the growth of projects and ensure engagement of internal and external stakeholders

Clinical site administration: ensure sites operate within appropriate ethical and legal boundaries and Lumiio’s policies and procedures

Use clinical/scientific knowledge to collaborate with the development team on the implementation of effective technological solutions in the Lumiio platform

Make recommendations to policy or procedural changes as needed

Liaise with all research team members and sponsor/other collaborators

Database implementation construction and maintenance

Facilitation of the knowledge translation process within the Lumiio initiatives, including participation in the creation of publications and presentations.

Coordination of international research efforts

Support and coordinate the development of project reports, research proposal submissions, data requests, and releases

Position Qualifications

Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a health research related discipline

2-5 years of related health research experience preferred

Experience working in clinical research and RWD preferred

Experience in project coordination and project management preferred

Experience in stakeholder engagement

Working knowledge of confidentiality and privacy rules related to the handling and storage of health information

Skilled communicator with excellent writing skills

Strong data management background and data analysis skills preferred

Reliable and confident in challenging situations

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
