About the role

The Medical Administration Registrar:

  • works as a team member within Office of the Executive Director of Medical Services, Northwest Hospital and Health Service.
  • is expected to improve their skills in medical management with the aim of developing specialist skills in the field.
  • is expected to develop an understanding of strategic and operational coordination in the planning and management of Medical Services which enables the provision of quality, safe patient care.
  • The position is a training position accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) subject to College guidelines on training and education https://racma.edu.au/training/fellowship-training-program.

Generous remuneration package up to $225,775 p.a. (L4-L9) or $265,800 p.a. (L10-L13) plus:

  • base salary ranges between $4822.20 and $5591.00 p.f. (L4-L9). or $6149.80 and $6776.80 p.f. (L10-L13)
  • 5 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer super contribution
  • professional development assistance

Requirements

  • The position requires the applicant to have obtained a degree qualification from a recognized tertiary institution and hold current registration or eligibility for registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
  • As a STP-IRTP funded position the applicant must be a current RACMA Candidate or have applied for Candidacy for the RACMA Fellowship Training Program (FTP)
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of ongoing candidacy on the RACMA fellowship training program.
  • Additional qualifications or specialist registration with another College will be highly regarded.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, inc. aged care checks, criminal history and Credentialling for SoCP.
  • This is a VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB.
  • A 6-month period of probation may apply.
