As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients according to the prescribed treatment plans. This role is crucial in providing care for patients in a 101-bed LTACH, which focuses on vent and trach patients. Key Responsibilities: Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and report to the appropriate medical staff.Maintain accurate records of treatment administered.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and procedures.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety. Qualifications: Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.State licensure in Virginia as a Radiation Therapist.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a hospital setting.Strong technical skills in operating radiation therapy equipment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a nightshift role with a weekend rotation.
