Registered Veterinary Nurse


We are seeking an additional enthusiastic, passionate RVN, either part-time or full-time, to join our busy independent rural practice in the heart of Kent. You will enjoy the opportunity to make a positive impact on our practice, for our clients, patients and team members.


With experience in small animal nursing, you will be proactive and ready to make a difference, helping our team to provide the best care possible to our clients.


Our practice

We are a long-established independent practice, with a large loyal client base. We are fully equipped and with visiting specialists, including in ophthalmics, orthopaedics, dentistry and cardiology, provide a first-class first-opinion service to our clients and specialist treatment to our patients. We are a small, busy and friendly team, close-knit and ready to help each other to give our clients, patients and staff the best experience possible.


Responsibilities

You will be confident in all aspects of nursing, from theatre and patient care, to conducting clinics and building strong ongoing client relations. Your duties will include preparing animals for surgery, monitoring anaesthesia, providing nursing care to hospitalised patients, performing diagnostic tests and administering treatments under veterinary guidance, advising pet owners on animal health, including the planning and running of regular nurse clinics, supporting student veterinary nurses, maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice, communicating with pet owners, gaining their trust and reassuring them about their animal's treatment


Qualifications

You will be a registered RVN with excellent clinical abilities, organisational and communication skills.
