Casual Veterinary Nurse

Toowoomba Veterinary Surgery is a busy small animal clinic located close to the Toowoomba CBD. Having been in operation for over 70 years we are well known among the community and pride ourselves on our standards of care and friendly, caring environment.

We are seeking an experienced vet nurse to join our amazing team of 6 vets and 9 support staff on a casual basis. As a member of the Toowoomba Vet crew you would experience work/life balance, no afterhours, the chance to attend paid workshops, regular lunchbreaks, and an ability to nurse a varied and interesting case load.

As a clinic we offer a wide range of services including;

• Consultation
• Dental
• Surgery
• Both xray and ultrasound imaging
• In-house blood testing
• Small Animal Reproduction
• Nurse Consulting

About You

• Clinical experience in Veterinary Nursing is essential
• Appropriate Certificate II or IV qualifications are desired
• An ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of the team
• Vision experience advantageous
• A high level of skill in monitoring anaesthetics is desired
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated client relationship building skills
• A hands-on approach to your work
• A willingness to get involved with energy and drive, and utilise nursing skills
• Effective time management and organisation skills
• Attention to detail in all aspects of your work

The ideal candidate would be comfortable in all aspects of veterinary nursing as well as customer interactions and would be willing to grow.
