Physiotherapy involves a holistic approach to the prevention, diagnosis and therapeutic management of pain, disorders of movement or optimisation of function to enhance the health and welfare of the community from an individual and population perspective. CQ Health offers a comprehensive physiotherapy service across the lifespan to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Our Physiotherapists work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

Physiotherapy provides a range of acute, sub-acute, ambulatory and paediatrics services across various locations in Central Queensland. Opportunities exist to deliver physiotherapy clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/consumers of CQ Health. Physiotherapy roles focus on the application of physiotherapy skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of consumers in order to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.

About you:

  • Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree in a Physiotherapy qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
  • Demonstrated level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Physiotherapy clinical service provision relevant to the services delivered by the work unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team and to communicate effectively with patients, families and their caregivers and relevant other stakeholders.
  • Developing ability to establish routine caseload priorities and apply principles, procedures and methods for routine clinical services and decision making.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $42.40-$56.89 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
